Application of Knowledge of Medicine to the Knowledge of Disease
During Dr. Hanemann’s time, the art of healing was irrational and absurd because there was not a fixed general law of interrelations between the disease and the drug. The physician uses a different method for the cure, according to their thinking and ideology. Dr. Hanemann discovered a law of scientific observation, generalization, and experimental verification so that the art of healing can be practiced with certainty and uniformly.
Dr. Hahnemann says that the knowledge of the disease through the art of case taking and knowledge of medicine by the method of drug proving. The physician has to apply his knowledge of materia medica to the disease. Dr. Hahnemann has proven that the mode of similarity must be natural and curator.
There are also other more to apply knowledge of the disease to drug besides homeopathy modes like the mode of antipathy, isopathy, or allopathy (which means neither similar nor dissimilar) from this various more the physician has to decide which is beneficial for the patient. According to the type of disease and the stage of the disease the physician has to find out which method will be the most useful one.
Choice of Remedy
Indicated medicine is called a remedy or the most similar medicine is called similimum by exact matching and cross-matching the disease picture and the drug picture the physician can find out the right similimum or remedy. according to the law of Simila which is curative for that particular disease. a physician has to find out the most similar medicine for each patient homeopathy does not use the specific medication which is indicated for particular diseases but the physician has to find out similar medicine for every sick individual.

Selection of Dose
This knowledge is divided into the knowledge of potency and knowledge of preparation of dose and knowledge of repetition of dose and knowledge of obstacle to recover are as follow:
Knowledge of Potency
If the most correct Simulium is not given in a proper dose it will not bring the desired result. it is well known that the same medicine can produce different actions and then the exact dose is essential for the patient. large doses and high potency are not required and can produce unnecessary symptoms & vice-versa when a smaller dose and low potency than required one, make the cure ineffective.
so the physician must have to find out the exact quantity of the medicine in every individual patient depending upon the factors like a stage, type of disease, sensation of the patient, causative factors, etc.
Knowledge of Preparation of Dose
All medicines cannot be prepared in every vehicle, so the physician must know the vehicle needed for the different kinds of medicines as well as he should know the method of preparation like triturations, succussion. he must also know how medicines from dry plants are prepared and from which family and kingdom it is belonging.
Knowledge of Repetitions of Doses
Too frequent repetition or no-repeat patients of doses when required may lead to the failure in achieving the ideal cure. so the physician must have the knowledge of when to repeat the dose and when not. depending upon the various factors like a stage, nature of the disease, type of disease and causative factors, etc.
Knowledge of Obstacle to Recovery
Despite administrating the correct dose, Simulium, potency as well as proper repetition of dose, sometimes cure remains incomplete. the symptoms may be cured partially or not removed at all, this is due to some hurdle or obstacle coming in the way of cure. unless and until they are removed cure can’t take place. the cure should be removed by recognizing. so and hill station of disease take place in its whole extent.
e.g. correct medicine is given to a Chronic Bronchitis patient but it doesn’t cure on further inquiry it is founded that he is a chronic smoker or he is leaving in an environment that is extremely polluted, so unless and until he stops smoking or he changes his dwelling the patient will not be cured completely
Another example a patient with chronic diarrhea who eats food that is very dredged which ultimately causes diarrhea cannot be cure even if the correct simile ma’am is given. Such factors act as an obstacle that does not allow cure.
Therefore along with other bits of knowledge of the physician, he has to find out such obstacles like faulty habits, filthy environment, wrong diet, pollution, unhygienic places of Living, etc. and must try to remove them. so that he will be able to cure the patient Judiciously and Rationally and becomes the true practitioner of healing of art.
